I can only assume you're all here, ready in your red carpet best to see our favorite woobies' tears, smiles, and more tears when the winners are announced!<br /><br />Before we get to the results of the last championship round, however (because more than a week is not yet enough of a wait, apparently), I want to give some mentions and awards to some of the other woobies. There are two sections before we get to the final results - the 'winner' (or longest lasting) in the non-Championship mediums and some Woobie Consolation prizes.<br /><br /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/6VtJQ4D.gif" alt="" /><br /><br />The Champion Woobies for all four categories (anime; books and comics; movies, animation, games, and ‘other’; and TV) are obvious, but let’s not forget that every medium has a winner!<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://woobieoff.dreamwidth.org/431.html#cutid1">The Longest Lasting Woobies in each non-championship medium</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___2" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://woobieoff.dreamwidth.org/431.html#cutid2">Onward to the awarding of the consolations...</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___2" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />That concludes the pre-championship part of our award show, and so without further ado here are....<br /><br /><span style="font-size: x-large;">The Results<br /></span><br />which means<br /><br /><img src="http://i.imgur.com/2hM4iIJ.gif" width="600" height="55" alt="" /><br /><span style="font-size: x-small;">Just in case the pink glittery letters don't show up for you:</span> <span style="font-size: x-small;">The Champion Woobies 2015<br /></span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Anime</strong></span><br />First up is the Anime category, where Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) and Anthy Himemiya (Revolutionary Girl Utena) have held on to the end, defeating woobies bigger, meaner, and yet<em> just not as woobie-ish</em> as they. <br /><br />The final results were close, but because all these rounds were SO close, the winner was clear... <br /><br />with 52.6% of the votes...<br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;">The Top Anime Woobie is...<br /></span><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___3" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://woobieoff.dreamwidth.org/431.html#cutid3">*drum roll* (warning: slightly violent imagery)</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___3" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />Thanks to everyone who voted in this and all the other anime rounds, and I hope you're all happy with the results! <br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Books and Comics<br /></strong></span>Next we turn to a shared category, which truly lived up to its name in the end. Although both Vanyel Ashevron (The Last Herald Mage Trilogy) and Cassandra Cain (DC Comics Preboot) have won the <span style="font-size: medium;">Longest Lasting Woobie</span> in their respective categories (and a hearty congratulations to them both), there can be only one winner of the category.<br /><br />This category had the only far and away winner of the championship, and so - with an astounding 73% of the vote....<br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;">The top Woobie from a Book or Comic is...</span><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___4" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://woobieoff.dreamwidth.org/431.html#cutid4">*drum roll*</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___4" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />Again, thanks to everyone who participated in the books and comics voting and discussing and campaigning!<br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Movies, Animation, Games, and 'Other'<br /></strong></span>Unlike the above category, it wasn't possible for the championships for Woobies from Movies, Animation, Games, or 'Others' to represent all of the Longest Lasting Woobies in the category - hence the awards above. Nonetheless, there are two represented here - no matter the results of the championship voting, <span style="font-size: larger;">Zuko (Avatar) is the Longest Lasting Animation Woobie</span> and <span style="font-size: larger;">Ellie (The Last of Us)</span> is the Longest Lasting Woobie from a Game. Congrats to them both!
